Chilling surveillance footage of a Craigslist murderer, who killed a man and his pregnant girlfriend after meeting them for Sex, was released by Wyoming police on Wednesday.
In July 2014, Brady Oestrike, decapitated 25-year-old Charles Oppenneer, whose body was discovered in Gezon Park.
Oppenneer and his girlfriend, Brooke Slocum, who was eight months pregnant, were planning to meet Oestrike for at the park, according to investigators.
The 18-year-old’s body was found in the trunk of Oestrike’s car after a police chase. Her baby did not survive.
Oestrike, 31, then took his own life after he crashed into a railing.
Surveillance footage from cameras Oestrike installed into his home show him cleaning a room on July 5, 2014, just days before the murders.
In one of the videos, Oestrike is seen walking back-and-forth in a room containing what appears to be an empty dog kennel.
As he moves things around, ropes can be seen hanging from the ceiling and lying on the floor.
Oestrike had four cameras set up in his home.
Another video shows that Slocum went through five days of torture.Slocum was shown in one video with handcuffs on at 1am on July 13.
Oestrike wrapped a chain around her neck that had been bolted to the bathroom floor, the site reported.
Her arms were also attached to a pulley system suspended from the ceiling.
Slocum was repeatedly assaulted and forced to smoke marijuana for several days, the documents show.
On July 13, 2014, police said they received a tip from a woman who reported that there was a man in a white mask looking into vehicles near the park.
Around the same time, another person turned in Oppenneer’s wallet that was found on a dirt road near the Gezon Park, Fox reported.
That same day, police found an empty car that was registered to Oppenneer in the area, according to the documents.
Authorities tried to contact Oppenneer after the vehicle was unmoved for two days.
Police then searched the area near the car on July 15 and smelled a ‘faint odor of decomposition’.
The next day, authorities continued the search and found Oppenneer’s decapitated body in the woods.
His head has still not been found.
Police then obtained search warrants for the couple’s cell phones.
Slocum’s roommate told police that the pair had been posting Craigslist ads for ‘$ex for cash’ at the time, according to the recently released documents.
A conversation dated for July 12, 2014, between Slocum and a person identified as ‘Hard Mike’ was discovered by police.
They were planning to meet at Gezon Park for , the documents show.
Police were able to link the Craigslist profile to a Gmail account, which led them to a Facebook user by the name of ‘Joat Amos’, who turned out to be Oestrike, according to Fox.
Oestrike was briefly stopped by police on July 17 near his home.
Dashcam video shows him speeding away from police in a yellow car.
He led them on a short pursuit before crashing at Burton Street SW and US-131 and killing himself.
