A FED-UP employee decided to get creative when handing in his notice – by writing his resignation letter on toilet paper.
The note, dated February 24, makes the man’s feelings very clear.
It reads: “I have chosen this type of paper for my two week resignation as a symbol of how I feel this company has treated me, and ironically how it is disposed of is where I feel this company is going.”
It is unknown where in the world the man is from, but an image of the letter was posted on Reddit by his wife Girlofgodsbadday.
The man behind the letter is unknown but his unique way of quitting his job has attracted a lot of comments from fellow Reddit users.
One user in particular, HereComesHR, speculated how his bosses might respond and wrote: “They won’t give a sh*t.”
Another said: “I don’t think he’ll have to stay those last two weeks.”
Also in October a worker was left stunned when his resignation letter was “re-written” by his boss so it included a glowing praise for his mentoring.
Chester Ang decided to leave his role as a call-centre in a bank to start up a pet shop.
The 29-year-old had worked in the Singapore firm for more than two years, and handed his notice in to his manager on October 21.
His boss, Kenneth Chen, gave him back the resignation letter which now included references to his “mentorship and guidance” and thanked him for “important contributions to my professional development”.
Chester said: “The manager passed the letter to me telling me that this is a better piece and to pass it back to him after signing.
“But after reading it, I chucked it aside. And I can tell that he was waiting for the letter back.
“It was still at the corner of my table at the end of the day, so I tore it up before I left the office.”
